Located at Khalifa Stadium, the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum honors both Qatar's inspirational development over time into one of the world's leading sports nations and its long-standing interest in sports. The museum features exhibits on the history of the Olympic Games, sports throughout time, and Qatar's unique sports culture.

The museum also highlights the motivational stories of well-known athletes and describes how these extraordinary people have pushed their own limits and demonstrated that they can be world-class athletes in their own right.

 

All visitors have the opportunity to broaden their perspectives on the significance of sports by taking a tour of the museum's galleries and activations, which offers inspiration, knowledge, and a voyage of discovery.

World of emotions -  A space that introduces the guests to the significance of sports in Qatar and an overview of what awaits them in the galleries.

A global history of sports - This gallery showcases athletic history by displaying key events from five different continents: Europe, Asia and Oceania, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa.

The Olympics - This gallery transports you from Greek antiquity to the present day, exploring the origins of the modern Olympics and the ancient Olympic Games.

The hall of athletes - The inspirational stories of people who have made a lasting impact on sports over the past century are told in this gallery.

Qatar: Hosting Nation – Tells the story about the Khalifa Stadium from its opening to its renovation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar in 2022, fulfilling Qatar’s ambitions to become a major force in the world of sports.

Qatar Sports Culture – The story of Qatar's sporting evolution from centuries-old traditional sports and activities to its current position as a major sporting force. This section focuses on Qatar's ascent to prominence internationally through its participation in the Olympics and world championships.

Activation Zone - The gallery promotes an immersive experience to its visitors through its digital installation and participation in recreational physical activities.
